FROM THEORY TO PRACTICE
Before obtaining my doctorate, I founded the NAHhaft Institute for sustainable food strategies, a non-profit organization conducting research, consultancy, and education projects on food system transformation. At the NAHhaft Institute, I initiated a number of projects, products, and spin-off companies, such as Nearbuy Food, the Food System Change Plattform, and the TransfErn project. Both the practical as well as the academic impact of my research strongly motivates me, and I am convinced that the exchange between practitioners and academics is a source of inspiration.
To increase the practical relevance of my research I regularly consult policymakers, discuss results in the media, and engage with various stakeholders to create innovations for contributing to climate change mitigation and the transformation of our global food system.
